    5 day meander.....

Day 4: Patensie to DeRust While my initial plan was to head to KZN I noticed that the weather for the next week was a forecast of snow/ice etc in the Transkei area. I decided that I didn't want to ride through that and I didn't have time to wait it out. So my Plan B was to ride Baviaans on my...

    5 day meander.....

Day 3: Knysna to Patensie So I started the day by getting out of Knysna, its really a very busy place. Headed out up the Prince Alfred pass, turn right at Avontuur and head to Joubertina on the R62. Then head on the R102 to Van Stadens bridge before heading back up to Patensie. The roads up...

    5 day meander.....

I had a two week trip planned to go from Hermanus to Richmond in KZN to visit family. It didn't quite work out that way but more on that later. My intention was to stay off major routes as much as possible and do a scenic trip. Day 1: Hermanus to Prince Albert. I loaded up and headed from Home...

    Help my.....

As an owner of one I must say I absolutely love it but that doesn't mean you will....but here are my pro's and con's Cons: Its power is a little "soft" for a 1200, its heavy if you have to push it or pick it up, the headlights should be brighter, the gear indicator only shows what gear you are...

    Longish trip planned

I'm lucky enough to have 2 weeks for a ride coming up in September. My plan is to ride from our place in Gansbaai to my dad's place near Richmond in KZN. I plan to spend about 3 days there and then ride back again. I don't want to rush, want to stay off the main highways as much as I can, hit...

    Tracks for africa app

I wanted to do the same thing until I saw " This is not a navigational app. This app does not perform route guidance......" on their webpage. Its a pity because it would be nice to have it all in one. I use Locus for navigation on my tablet and it works pretty well and not expensive at all.

    Tracker for Bikes Features

I had a CarTrack unit on my bike. Had live tracking and an accident alert which I think are important features and it was R149 a month. Well worth it I thought.

    Buying local or importing?

Yes, I meant to add that info. You must use DHL Express, it is more expensive but its way quicker and you can track your parcel.
