Possible to paint on acrylic or lexan

Thanks - ja, I can quite easily get the shape........but jeez my previous attempts at applying vinyl without wrinkles and creases have not been great.....

Possible to paint on acrylic or lexan

I've purchased a new screen for my 94 Africa Twin. The original is now very long in the tooth, and looks like it's about to shatter into millions of pieces when the light catches it at the right angle (looks like 1000's of tiny cracks). on the 93 - 95, the bottom 1/3 of the screen is blacked...

    Oooooh $&@? moment

yup - the tree huggers preventing culling are creating far worse problems for the elephants, and all of the other animals there.

Grizz's Random Ramblings and builds from U.K. 🇬🇧 BOU NOU WIKKEL WIKKEL 🚀 2021 🇺🇸

jammer - That can of "start ya bastard' engine starter spray in the one photo that you posted. That is pretty much the phrase that one is starting to throw around when you get to the point of having to use that stuff 😂. Their marketing must have had experienced users!

    700 Transalp engine noise

Just a thought that popped to mind for the OP. Check that the studs holding the header pipes to the head aren't loose (but don't strip them by trying to overtighten). Years ago I had them come a little loose on the front cylinder on the XRV750, causing a little bit of "flutter" / leakage. Can...

    700 Transalp engine noise

Ja.....I didn't want to go there, as it's only from memory and hearsay.......but I suspect that it's a "motor out" job. (they do exist.....as far as I can remember the duc 916 etc was the same)

    700 Transalp engine noise

I've heard that it's a moerofo job to get to the valves on those 700 motors.

Some really stupid off-road kit questions

just dump the helmet into a bath and wash with baby shampoo when it needs it. Easy to clean, and they dry pretty quickly to. Sponge in the lining seems last longer too - it seems to perish with sweat after a while

    Australia.... The Island Saga...TwoOhTuTu

Apologies for de-railing your thread. I am surprised that it wasn't your little toe. I suspect that we have them specifically so they will be donnered into doorframes, or any other stationary object, at will......

She might have started with that, but was busy panelbeating his face when he came to.....😁

Two Stroke - case reed induction vs rotary valves

Don't forget about the old school piston porting...! Ala the old lambretta's. Port timing was determined by the lenght of the piston skirt. Old school vespa's also used rotary valves. I would think that out of all of the options......the reeds are the simplest. KISS principle..... I think...

    Australia.... The Island Saga...TwoOhTuTu

🤣 Coulda been worse.....one of my partners at work, ex springbok front row, taking a shower, lifted his foot to wash it (knees don't function very well anymore) - other foot slipped - think one of those cartoon wipeouts where your feet go above your head on the way down. Knocked himself out cold...

WELCOME to the Ducati Desert X Thread!

Interesting. Ducati SA have been terrible to deal with for years. So much so, that many of us simply bring in needed parts from overseas. I'm still waiting for an indicator from them that I ordered about 10 years ago.....

A classic mini clubman, and time on my hands.

Far superior to my "technique"........just dump a long screwdriver down the plug hole and judge by eye the point at which it doesn't move up or down........😁 Another reason why I should stay away from the ingewikkeld stuff......

Rule(s) for overtaking an 'ahead' rider on dirt roads

Not my cup of tea either, but have realised over the years that not everyone wants to ride alone, and they don't have riding buddies to join. Different strokes...........and the one's that I've bumped into along the way seem to be enjoying themselves.

    2t guru's......some input please

We were at a track day back then. Brett had prosthetic legs (lost both in a car accident iirc). That VF/CBX didn't have the greatest ground clearance. He was dragging his feet on each corner, wearing through the sneakers that he was wearing, as well as the "toes" on the legs. His wife KAKKED him...
