I've purchased a new screen for my 94 Africa Twin. The original is now very long in the tooth, and looks like it's about to shatter into millions of pieces when the light catches it at the right angle (looks like 1000's of tiny cracks).

on the 93 - 95, the bottom 1/3 of the screen is blacked out in order to hide the wiring and infrastructure behind the clocks and tripmeter. (on the later models they raised the edge of the nosecone to do the same).

Question - the screen that I got from War Eagle (excellent quality / finish by the way) obviously isn't blacked out at the bottom. Can one use any kind of spraypaint on the plastic that the screen is made from without destroying it? Waterbased maybe?

I could try vinyl, but it's going to be difficult to apply to the convex side of the screen.

Any pointers / suggestions?
