Spot on, the ideas is to drop the exposure to below harmful levels only. And the ones with the frequency filters allow certain frequencies to pass to allow speech etc to be preserved. I can understand how wearing earplugs would actually make riding safer because (for me anyway) extremely loud...

The loud zorst is more for the benefit of the pedestrians. The wind noise is naturally the primary problem with the high levels of noise and hearing damage…the advice seems to be to slow down to below 100kph, which I can’t see as a viable solution on longer trips where one is sharing the road...

Exactly what I am looking for…👍great find that @wannago I passed on the pair I found initially…those would have been a good project, but for my purpose I will keep looking. Need to fix up my son’s PW first

@Chopper thanx, I have heard those are great. Bit pricey seeing as I have a habit of losing such things. But definitely a good investment to protect one’s hearing

I have a pair of used SG10’s….Old but usable, I had to fix the plastic toe caps with fancy silicon sealant😂but the buckles and soles/buckles are good. I wear 45’s but these are too tight for me (the tag is gone) so assume it should fit a 9 with some room for thick socks. You are welcome to...
