Yes the blue and red single spark is also beautiful. Way better than the colour scheme on the facelift bikes in my opinion.

I hadn't considered the coils because the chance of them both packing up simultaneously would be almost zero. I hadn't realised that the outside plug plays such a minor role. On the twinspark Suzukis you will know immediately if one packs up. It will still run but there is a noticeable difference.

Jughead you were right. Both coils are not working. Now to find replacements!

You wouldn't rewire a stator unless you've measured resistances and confirmed that it is faulty. Yes motor swings but no spark. Also 12V+ at fuse number 1. Rev counter responds while cranking which I assume means the CPU is working.

Thanks for the reply. Pinched wiring around the steering was my first suspect and the first place I looked. Maybe time to have another look since I'm not finding anything else.

Hi Chris Is this exactly the same as the original Dakar screen in terms of size and shape. I know there are lots of aftermarket screens available but I'm looking for an original screen. Or an aftermarket one that looks exactly the same.

Arminel has a self catering option which is excellent value for money. Wolf ridge road is a most. Less well known, but well worth the time, is the drive up Plaatjieskraal road to the tower at the top of the mountain.
