What should the clutch play be? According to the manual it should be 1mm, however apparently bmw changed this to 2mm and the guys on adv rider work on 3 - 5mm. They claim that the 1mm is too tight and has burned a few bikes clutch plates. So what should it be?

A friend of mine has a bmw vario top box mounting bracket in good nick for anyone in need. He doesn't have the bushes though, only the plastic mounting bracket. He is in pretoria east.

The owners manual states that the brake disk wear limit is 4.5mm. Measured my rear brake disk and it measures 3.937mm. No problems yet, will replace asap, but it can be pushed past 4,5mm if you are as inattentive/cheapskate like me. Use your own discretion though.
