Here you go.. I've also never had a problem with grip on these boots. Waterproof-wise they're as good as any other boots I've had and stay dry inside with only a dab into water but the water will get in through the seams & top if you're standing in it..

Howzit. Ja as @the_wes says, no built-in armour but the knees and hips have small pockets with thin foam inserts in them. I too prefer dedicated armour and these pants have plenty of room for knee guards worn inside. Cheers
