No, very different. And won't be necessary on the CRF1000 as it doesn't have the "floating" sprocket design like the XR650

Rather apply a few (2-3) layers of heavy duty duct tape. Makes tyre changes much easier as the bloody rubber band tends to shift over the valve hole when you put the tube in. If you are insisting on the rubber band - I am sure I have one for you.
