    Nuvi 300 memory

I tried to load the new Garmap (topo & rec) for someone on a Nuvi 300 and ran out of memory.  It appears that the maps are loaded onto the internal memory even though it does have an SD card.  Any of you know whether, and how, I can load the maps onto the SD card as it is a pain in the but to...

    Zumo Wiki

Found this site.  Think it will help with a lot of Zumo related issues.  One of the things I picked up on another site is that routes that were saved in .gdb format has to be re-saved in .gpx format before they can be sent to the Zumo. https://garminzumo.wikispaces.com/

    Hit-Air Jackets

Have any of you seen these? From what I have been able to gather, the "airbags" are re-useable and works of the standard CO2 gas canisters we use to inflate tyres. Could sure have used one of them on Saturdag. Hit-Air Motorcycle Riding Jackets NBC TV video clip

    Wilddogs Xai-Xai and Lesotho

On our way back from Xai-Xai beach to Zonguene on 2nd Jan (in the cage), we passed two GS's and a KTM heading towards Xai-Xai beach, any Wilddogs want to own up? If so, where's the trip report.  Same goes for the 2 GS's that passed us in Swaziland coming from Siteki, heading towards the Goba...

    R 1200 GS Rear Axle

As posted a while ago, my bike's rear axle crown gearing packed up.  I must admit that, once again, BMW fixed the problem under warranty, with no hassles at all.  So in the interest of sharing information with my fellow GS riders here's the pointers that I picked up in retrospect that would...

    Gauteng Commute Today

So how many of the Gauties used the scoot to commute today? I did with a smile. Understand the highway both sides of Buccleuch still backed up about 10km each way as a result of the accident this morning. Have to go to Randburg now and Midrand thereafter, it's pouring, so ATGATT and...

    Check the Sun!

And there I was this morning, wearing my toxic yellow Wilddog vest. Secure in the knowledge that I am highly visible to all cagers in my vicinity only to be rudely disabused of the notion when a cage nearly side swiped me close to the Buccleuch interchange. After uttering a few choice swear...

Thursday morning came and I arrived at the dealer to pick up my bike. Both the clutch and master cylinder had been replaced under warranty (due to no parts available in stock they stripped a new bike to fix mine in time  :D :D ). Slight problem when I got there, instead of replacing...

    1200 GS Clutch Problem

As you probably picked up from Red's ride report about our trip down to join Trailrider & co in Baviaans and back, the clutch on my bike started slipping just before we reached Oudtshoorn, with a repeat on the way to CountryTrax and then at the end of the first day of the course. Long and the...
