Thanks.  We're leaving in 2 weeks time, so still trying to figure out a "nice" route...preferably not only boring tarred roads, but then again also not deep sandy roads.  Would have really liked to ride gravel little roads in the wild... Some questions that pop to mind... Any other roads worth...

Does anybody have experience travelling from Maun to Kasane in Botswana?  What are the allowed routes we can take with a bike?  Would love to go through the park and not only take the tarred roads via Nata...

Still pondering about it yeah....  But you made me think since we are actually short on time to get to Caprivi.  Other roads you can recommend (Just don't say the main highway past Windhoek!!!!!)

Does anybody have experience in riding alongside the Eastern border of Namibia - North of Gobabis into the Caprivi?  Are there roads? Planning a trip to tow bikes to Gobabis, then ride Caprivi - Vic Falls - down Botswana - back to Gobabis. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Manic, When you say you heard interference/engine noise, was that also only over the radios?  We have pretty much no interference when listening to music or talking with pillion.  Also, when idling the bike, th interference is minimal.  Its only when you get up to speed/higer revs.  And even...

Well, since the dakar is pretty basic electronic wise....I wonder if it could be from the tracker unit...  Thing is, there is no interference with music played through the starcom system.  Only the radio transmissions. ???

We have EXACTLY the same problem.  Also, when you drive over 70km/h, there is too much interference to hear ANYTHING!  Lowering your revs helps a little bit, but still not enough...  We are now wondering if we should not get the bigger Zarteks, but don't want to buy them if its going to end up...

Now finally after returning a new visor twice, I have one thats got "acceptable" level of scratches...  Its crazy!  No film over it when they ship it.  No cover. No nothing!
