CountryTrax Grand Central will be resuming their monthly breakfast out rides on 1 October.
This time, we will venture towards the North West, doing the canal routes around Brits, and stopping at Beestekraal Station for something to eat and drink.
At Beestekraal Station the option is there to head back home for those in a hurry.
The route is beginner and pillion friendly. However, if you allow your mind to wander, the route will catch you out.
Date: 01 October 2016 (it is a Saturday)
Start time: 07:30 (Please note that we leave at 07:30! Be early, fill up your bike and tummy prior to 07:30!)
Starting point: Wimpy at the 4-way stop on the Brits side of the Hartebeespoort Dam (GPS: S25° 43.647' E27° 49.788')
Distance: approx 180km (there are fuel stops along the route for those bikes with smaller tanks)
Notes:
This ride is for all roadworthy adventure/dual purpose motorcycles and riders with a valid learners license / license. The ride is free, except for fuel, food and drink which is for your own account. The pace will be that of the slowest rider, and CountryTrax Grand Central will provide a lead biker as well as a sweep biker, to ensure that everyone stays on course.
Please bring all necessary tools, tubes, etc. needed to fix a flat tire, tension a chain, adjust a screen, etc. There is NO back-up vehicle, so you need to be self sufficient. Major breakdowns will be handled as and when required.
If it rains on the day, bring your rain suit.
