Great vid of your ride and with old Jonny keeping the beat it is truely South African, loved the art bits.
One question, what display settings do you have your GPS on? Is it custom or one of the standard profiles, looks easy readable, something I struggle with on my Oregon

JFE, firstly I converted my route to a track, meaning I just follow the track and the GPS is therefore not giving directions since a track is not routable. This has a couple of benefits, the main one being that the tracks will indicate what you saw on the PC at home and it avoids the GPS taking you on unintended turnoffs all the time. 

I'm not sure about the Oregon, but on the Montana you can set the map so that "Guidance Text" is only given "When Navigating". This now means that I don't get instructions of when to turn etc, and that is freeing up a lot of screen space. For "Dashboard" I selected "Automotive", and that's the little speedometer with compass direction, distance to destination and trip odometer. So, I would say the Dashboard takes up about 25% of the screen space, and the map the remaining 75%.

Johan, I will send you an e-mail with the route. It's just too big to upload here, as I obvioulsy have not mastered the trick yet to cut down on waypoints.

Chris, jy het my hier aan die wonder. Ek weet nie van 'n plek genaamd Paardebont nie. Het dit ook probeer kry op Google Earth sonder sukses. Vertel meer asb. Miskien is ek daar verby sonder om te besef.

Dis waar jy deur die klipperige driffie oor die Gouritzrivier gery het.
Op die video ry jy eers Rooiberg vanaf Van Wyks na CAlitzdorp en toe ry jy Paardebont in die rigting van Rooiberg. Altans dis hoe dit vir my gelyk het. Sal weer kyk as my internet nie so hondstadig is nie. :biggrin:

Fyn waarneming, jy is korrek Chris. Toe ek die Gouritz kruis was my videokamera af, toe draai ek om vir so 1km om die pragtige area te kan vaslê. Jy sal dus sien 11:28 is ook sequence uit.

Ek het gereken jy het met die eerste crossing nie jou kamera aangehad en hom toe weer gery.  :thumleft:
Hou regtig van die musiek op die video, verstaan nie sommige videos waar hulle sulke afskuwelike rockstront opsit in die pragtigste natuurtonele. :eek7:
