1150 GS fuel pump noise

Hi there all dogs,

The fuel pump on my 1150 GS is making a high pitched noise, that can be heard when idling. Now I read somewhere on the forum a while ago (advise by Michnus I think) that one can add 200ml four stroke oil to a full tank, and that additiveof oil will lubricate the pump.

Is that correct, or is the pump on its last legs?

Help much apprciated
