After some time I managed to find the aluminium hinges to replace the plastic ones on my Peeg's alu panniers. The previous owner already replaced the top box, so I needed to find the same ones for the panniers after they also broke off.
Walked into a shop that only sell door handles and hinges and found the exact same hinge @ R50 per pair! :thumleft: That beats BMW's R330 per plastic pair by far.
It is called a "Canopy Hinge 50mm x 70mm (H145)" See the four new hinges below and the already fitted top box.
You just need to buy stainless steel bolts & nuts and re-drill the holes in the panniers as they do not line up with the original ones. Maybe also put some silicone under the hinges before attaching.
