After reading about the overlander that was stuck in Jaybay with a punctured radiator I thought it a good idea to get a guard for mine , as I do lots of long rides and a radiator guard would be something to add to saving the radiator. Aware that these aftermarket parts can be on the expensive side I asked my Son to check up on the pricing , pleasantly surprised KTM powerpart , R180.00 . Bought and fitted , Just a heads up , the part is made for the R model that has a slightly different attachment bracket , My Son is a KTM tech and new how to modify it slightly to fit the S model with out buying extra brackets , one just need to trim a bit of the plastic away , less than 5 min to fit .
What is surprising is that this guard is not fitted at the factory , inexpensive part that will save a lot of tears . but it is what it is , I have fitted it , looks nice , and a inexpensive upgrade . Contact FAST or your local dealer and get one , it is worth it .
