Took delivery of my first 1200 GS yesterday :ricky: Awesome bike!!!!
I had some extras fitted to bike - handle bar raisers; wide foot pegs; headlight protector; lower crash bar...all aftermarket product (non BMW).

I do however have a cosmetic concern with the newly fitted crash bars...
They fit well and wraps the pods nicely, BUT it really looks "cheap" (purchase price was R2700) :'(  The bars has a rough surface (looks like if it has been sand blasted) and don't match the colour of the frame at all. Has a "cheap" plastic look to it... ???
I'm going to return product to supplier . I saw a Krauser crash bar on another GS yesterday and it looks MUCH better. The bar is at least the same colour as the frame of the bike and similar design as the "cheap" looking one.
Must I -
1. fit another crash bar (Krauser or BMW)
OR
2. just fit proper aluminium pod covers instead of a crash bar?
