Trip down memory land for me, following in anticipation and looking very much fw to the road to Baghdad which I have traveled several times back in 2005/6.
Good to see it’s peaceful, since I have seen Iraq in the worst of days.

A very interesting country and rich in ancient history. Iraq used to be Mesopotamia and I have visited many of the biblical sites back in the day. To the religious amongst us, most of the Old testament played off in Mesopotamia or modern day Iraq.
I really hope she makes it to the green zone in Baghdad - would be nice to see what is left standing after the war.
A country that made a big impact on my life and I got to add, both Arab and Kurdistan civilians treated us very well back in the day.

In Baghdad en van die ander paaie het hulle heelwat sement snelweë en oor die algemeen beter infra struktuur.
Iraq ia ook baie beter ontwikkel in die hoofstad en selfs na die Suide agv die haat wat Sadam gehad het vir die Kurdish mense wat in die Noorde geleë is.
Hulle kry ook heelwat sneeu in die Noorde en die vog en wisselende extreme koue en hitte speel alles n rol in die toestand vd paaie.
Die het jy seker self ook in Noord Amerika beleef.
