So after three odd years my GSA's bateery died on me last night just as I want to leave work for home. Everything lighted up and as I press the start button it just made 'click' and then everything was dead. Got a lift home and came back with the car and tried to jump start but I don't have proper jumper cables so that was not too successful. Could however manage to get the ignition on again but could not get enough amps through to crank the engine.
So I took the battery out and took it home to check it out. Here is my question: when I checked the voltage it showed 13.4 V which I would think is well within the 'good for go' range. Is this the way that the AGM batteries behave? I.e. they seem fine but fail when you ask them to deliver?
What do the experts say?
