My 1996 XR600R is for sale. :'( :'( :'(
I have had the motor redone under 2000km’s ago with a Wiseco oversize piston, gasflowed head, seated valves and a HotCam performance camshaft from the States. I also replaced the oil pump and had a stainless steel butterfly put in the carb. Tim from TMC in Cape Town did the work. It is very powerful and will scare ALL inexperienced riders.
I have also replaced the front brake disc and pads with a new set from Trevor (Topbox)
It has the following additional non-standard items:
• Exel wheels
• Vapor trip computer
• Rental Handlebars
• Pro Circuit can
• 20l Clarke tank
• Wide pegs
• Handlebar raisers
It is licenced until 31 December 2009.
All and all a great bike that will need a back tyre soon, for obvious reasons…
