it’s a 22 year old bike after all
The latch for the seat is worn and will need to be fixed or replaced for ease of use
Bike also has a free oil leak at the starter, was repaired by BMW Fourways quite recently so I’ll check why it has returned so soon; they’ve usually given me decent service so I’m sure they will sort.
Again I’ll edit this bit as it goes.

I’m a fair-weather biker and I don’t ride as much as this bike deserves.
