One of my friends that does local carwashing and pet sitting has this bike up for sale. He asked me to run the ad for him as he is kinda busy and don't like lots of random people phoning him - I will explain if you are interested in the bike.
It is a 2005 R1200GS with unknown (but less than 120000km) kilometers on the lock. I am going to place his description below:
"So here are the issues with the 05 r1200gs. There's a problem with the instrument cluster. It doesn't give the total km of the bike and when its connected it drains the battery. Takes 7 days to discharge the battery.. When it's disconnected no problem. There is a slow oil leak coming from the engine. Fuel pump controller was bypassed. Its used to control the pressure of the fuel pump. Needs a fuel pump controller. Heated grips still work and abs. It has abs servo brakes and the brake fluid needs to be replaced every 2 years. The slave cylinder for the clutch might be giving up. Might still be air in the system. Engine still good same as gearbox and rear diff still good. One fog light not working. It comes with 3 boxes and got new front brake pads as spares. No service history and no spare key. If you need the km of the bike it must go to the agents to get the read out of the total km."
The bike currently runs, but the ABS is dodgy, so it would probably need to be trailered. It does have some corrosion.
