My 2008 KLR had 11 800km on the clock when I wanted to adjust the pre-load on the rear shock absorber just before a long trip with a passanger and luggage. Not forcing it or doing anything stupid it just slip past. I suppose the gears are stripped out or something. The 12mm bolt was really lose from when I bought the bike new so I suspect the gears doesn't mesh properly.
Does anybody know or have experience with such a thing happening?
My bike is less than 7 months old and still very well within it's gaurentee. Although the dealer is in the process of finding out from KMSA to make a claim I get the feeling they don't want to admit to the problem or replace.
Please help.
