Hi, All
UPDATE: My 2013 Triumph Tiger 800XC is now available for viewing / a test ride (please be gentle - I still have feelings for her) at Cape Bike Travel in Buitengracht Street, Cape Town.
Please ignore total price of R113 950 on Excel worksheet.[/color] Vincent or Jürg has the price at the shop.
I had to laugh ... the mechanic took it for a ride up to Signal Hill, came back and wanted to trade his KTM for the Tiger. ;D
It's time to change. I've enjoyed (and haven't I just!) 37 040 km on probably one of the best machines ever made, but my life situation has changed and I am forced to adjust. Seriously!
The Triumph has ALWAYS had its services at the dealership I bought it from (very happy I was - thanks, Gareth, Robin, etc.), have been pampered and, if you'd take a minute to read through the attached list, comes as a truly good deal. Do not negate the Excel rim conversion from tubed to tubeless. And the virtually new (and oh so clean!) compressor and tubeless repair kit in the topbox! No tyre levers required!
All the necessary (and more!) details are on the Excel (turned JPEG) worksheet. The mileage on the Excell worksheet states 37 100 km, but that is only because I couldn't remember the exact mileage and took a wild guess. The correct mileage is 37 045 km.
The bike is shown working, i.e. on my last trip to Coffee Bay & back with my sixteen year old son as pillion rider. You are thus able to see the motorcycle in its element ... discovering new places and riding back roads. My Triumph is a very happy, willing and extremely able companion.
Any queries about the quality of the bike, as well as the style of riding I do may safely be directed at the guys at Mike Hopkins Motorcycles (including Mark Livings).
