650 : knobbly front /anakee rear ?

Hi all

I have done the search on DS tyres, but couldn't find an answer to my specific question.
I have recently put a Anakee on the back, but the front also needs replacing.  It has been suggested that I put something like a TKC on the front which will help my confidence on gravel a little. 
I do 40/60 dirt/tar and being a novice, don't really push any boundaries. Is there anyone who has had this or similar combination who can help me decide  ???
