690 vs 990 KTM ????

watching the dakar you notice that the top 10 bikes are all 690 enduro's,,,,,my question is why not the 990 ???

i realise its lighter and easy to handle but that much more power the weight factor should be cancelled out if not better???

according to the commentators marc como is a big guy,,,not sure if he is as big as i am,,,,but im suprised he doesnt race with a 990

so heres my question,,,,if i (with my body weight) wanted to buy a perfect enduro bike,,,should i take a 690 or the 990,,,,theres a considerable difference in price????

what good for the dakar riders and marc como is good for malgat????
