Riding home on the 950 Friday after work, my instrument cluster went dead during the trip, digital screen dead, rev counter dead. Only thing that’s working is the high beam indicator (blue light). Apart from that the bike is fine, starts etc.
Over the weekend it was fine again.
Coming to work this morning, it was fine initially, but then went dead again. Just checked now, head and rear lights as well as brake lights still work when cluster is out, but not the indicators?
Also, something I thought I picked up this morning, is that the cluster goes when I indicate. So maybe then it’s the indicator relay? But why will it kill the cluster (rev counter included), and then it comes to life again after a while? Also, how do I check the indicator relay?
