Well I have been wanting a better bash plate for a while, but it was now forced upon me as the last one got â??lostâ? and now the GSV has none, belly hanging bare. Don,t fancy the cost or the dubious mounts of the stockers or most aftermarkets so!!!!!

So what do you do, first step is to design a plate!!!

Step 1: Take a piece of cardboard sketch out what â??you think you wantâ?, then cut it out, guaranteed it will not work!!!

Step 2: Draw it out and attach drawing to cardboard.

Step 3: Try the shape out.

Step 4: Transfer the shape to a piece of thin metal (as the bends do not hold in card etc), in this case a security sign (when I removed them from my wall for painting there were 5 one on top of the others as the company changed names).

Step 5: Bend it into shape.

Step 6: Does she fit?????

Step 7: If so flatten out again!!!!Transfer into a drawing and add suitable radiused corners,
