So KTM Gal and myself will be in Howick for Christmas with her Mom, and the other day our mates asked what else we were doing. "Not much" replied and so this little plan started to materialise.
Let us know what you think and give some advice if necessary.
Thanks Dogs

Right, I have been playing with Google Earth and have come up with what I think will be a KICK ASS little ride around Lesotho between Christmas and New year.
This is just an idea at the moment, so please feel free to add any input at any time.
We will push off from Howick early on the 27th so you guys need to get yourselves down there on the 26th please.

DAY 1 -104km
Leaving Howick in a northerly direction we will ride up Nottingham road to the area above Fort Nottingham and hook a left onto what possibly could be the first dirt of the day.
We will head south west down to Himeville where we can off load some gear and go and play up and down Sani Pass. Bring your largely unnecessary passport, they aren’t too strict at all!
Penny has found a lovely little backpackers at the foot of the pass in SA that we need to try get into ASAP.

DAY 2 -352km
From Himeville we will drop south along the 617 and the turn right (west) onto the dirt which will link us up with the R56 and Matatiele.
Keeping on the R56 we will scoot south once again down to Mount fletcher and turn west yet again onto more dirt and past Mount Fletcher NU.
Turning north onto the R396 we will pass through the quaint little town of Rhodes and then off to Barkley East.
Our last destination for the day will be Lammergaaier farm which is off towards Lady Grey and onto the Joubert’s pass.
This spectacular farm is owned by our mate Kevin Istead and he says it’s cool to stay for two nights and just relax.
Depending on how we feel and the weather, we can go for a lekker ride up to Tiffendel and get some proper altidude!

DAY 4 -352km… yes, again!
Leaving Lammergaaier, we will shoot back down to Barkley East and off into the area of Wartrail, where we can ride the Lundin’s Nek, which skirts the border of Lesotho. Awesome ride this!
From there we need to do some tar again up to Zastron, Wepener, Fouriesburg, and then Clarens where we can book into a backpackers for the night.

DAY 5 -302km
Clarens to home any way the wind blows you. 

Check it out on this map by zooming in from Howick and following the route. 1-2km zoom will give the best detail. https://www.nationsonline.org/oneworld/map/google_map_lesotho.htm
