DEON 1190
Race Dog
This subject has had many posts and I am sure I have posted about it before as well . This past weekend we were on a ride to Balito and some of the ride was in wet misty conditions , I have some yellow spotties on the bike and they work very well , make my bike very visible , even in poor conditions !
This all said , there is still a quest for better light at night . Yes we seldom ride after dark but on our winter rides we run out of daylight and need to make it to our accommodation after dark . This in it self is dangerous , so having good lights on the bike is paramount .
I have good light for about 10-15 meters in front of the bike but need to add a light that will light up the road further ahead . and here in lies my problem , I have ordered /paid for a set of spots for this ,. but after receiving them they to big for the space available , now its back to the drawing board . I removed the 10w spots because they a pencil beam , wanted a wider spot beam , but nothing available that is small and functionable , and no I am not spending over 4k for a set of RHINO lights .
I might refit my 10w ones and aim it lower , hoping that the narrow angle will be a good match to the wide angel ones currently on my crashbar .
I do have a bit of a vision problem , so seeing with out glasses is difficult , and in most cases I only have my dark glasses present as they are my go to in day time .
OR
Do away with multiple smaller spots and fit a pair of 4 inch spots and be done .
