Advice: boots for the_wife

I need boots for my better half (as a pillion, not that it makes a difference)... something comfy, good protection, and in the R1.5K - R2K price range.

I am biased towards MX style boots as they generally seem tough as nails - we've been considering the ShiftMX...

what else is there that's good, specifically that I can get in a chick size?
