Hi Fellow dogs
I was wondering if one of you guys know if the Odessa Road (also known as the Winkelhak or Droëhoek Rd) is a public road. I see that Basecamp give warning messages about possible locked gates. We are a group of about 12 bikes that want to possibly take this route on Saturday.
I've ridden that road about 3 or 4 times and never came across a locked or close gate. And there is a way around the gates for a bike if it is locked. At one occasion the gate on the road to Katbakkies/ Cedarberg Oasis was closed, but luckily there is a large pedestrian opening where the bikes can go through.
I was just wondering if somebody perhaps know if it is a private road. There are road signs etc on this road. Please see below images....
