HI Guys
Need some advice please as I am not coming right with any clear way forward. I am fixing up a 625 SXC and putting on a old long range tank from a 640. The tank has scratches and previous coatings of pain but it pealed off in places.
Basically I am trying to achieve the matt black look as shown in the pic. I have spoke to guys who do plastics painting and also vinyl wrapping and they advise their products wont work due to the breathing. The one chaps suggest perhaps hydro dipping but googling the results dont seem to confirm this is the way to go.
Anyone restored a plastic fuel tank or have any suggestions on a durable approach?
Thank you
