I was wondering, can you perhaps in either thius thread or another one list the stuff you guys took with on the trip?
Perhaps how you packed it and plit it between the 4 bikes?

Also what item did you miss that you did not took with; and
what did you take with that you never used?

The time of the year was a factor. I think Antonie really missed his winter gloves when we left and returned to SA. Ek het te min "wasgoed pennetjies" vir almal saamgevat. We had a propper final kit check before we left and this was finally decided on the distribution:

2 x Front tyres(Leo + Excalibur)
2 X back tyres(Basil + Antonie)
Cameras/chargers/ ekstra batteries(all)
Video camera(Antonie)
Own personal kit for 9 days(packed too much)
Braaipan(Leo)
All applicable tools(Leo)
2 X matress pumps(Excalibur + Basil)
2 X Tyre pumps(Leo + Antonie)
Tyre pressure gauges(All)
Thermals(all)
Wind Breaker(a must)
Stoves and Gas canisters(Leo + Excalibur + Basil)
Canned food/rusks(All)
Camp Chairs(all)
Foldable Table(Basil)(a nice to have)
I Pods/ Music/ Speakers(All)
Medical Kits(All)
Snorkels and goggles(Leo + Basil)

Other commodaties(food/charcoal etc)were bought as fresh as possible on a daily basis. We ate like kings

I am interested in what was included in personnal kit. No not a rundown of jockstraps and socks. Tents, sleeping bags etc. Learning a lot here and more info would be great!

File folder for coppies of all paper work(registration papers/insurance/licence/ international drivers licence/ immunisation card/ passport/ID) Makes it easier at border crossings. Put mine in the tank bag where I could reach it easily at roadblocks etc

Washing line and pegs
Combo charger for camera batteries, I pod, cell phone

Ekstra straps
Ekstra cargo net
Gelo(ice)bag. The type you could put a sixpack in. The gelo lasts longer
Plastic "gifkanne" Leo packed 4 full ones but we new we had a liquer problem on the trip, him ;D
