Africa Twin 1100 - want better exhaust note

• 2023 Africa Twin 1100 (manual)
• looking for a "deeper" exhaust note/sound

what are the pros and cons of the following options, taking into consideration stuff like engine back pressure, running lean etc:
1. only remove the catalytic converter
2. only fit aftermarket exhaust end can (is considering Barker exhaust)
3. or leave the setup as is OEM
