Alternative Headlight Solutions for the SE

Had the misfortune of getting caught on gravel back roads (no streetlights) after dark and boy is the headlight on the SE all but useless.
Has anybody changed the light/bulbs on their SE yet? Anybody have an idea what options are available. My searches have only revealed those horrible huge Baja spotlights the Yanks seem to love.
