Andrew,
Great ride, great report, great videos!
Thanks for putting it all together for our enjoyment.

Nice report Andrew. I also had a nasty surprise in that erosion ditch.

Please pm me your number. Need to have a chat about a bike.

They've reset the competition. Be truthful. If I win it I'd like it to be on merit.

As long as you vote for mine ;D

COme to think if it i forgot to finish it! Let me get to it!

Andrew! What a top notch report!
One thing I must add.... Those stills of you jumping that gully that came out of nowhere..... There are people who do not understand the hecticness of that. Only people who have ridden the beasts in anger will understand how well you did there to get the front up!
You are HARD on the brakes... The rear is almost in the air.... It's sliding all over....the front is almost breaking traction.....then it's decision time ....do or die..... You have to unload the front....load the back to get traction and then commit 10000% and smash the throttle open and launch at something that could well kill you..... The 950 rear is so light that if you get it wrong....no traction...just crazy power driving u faster at the wall of rocks. It takes balls and incredible reaction time to pull that shit off.
On my 450 it was almost a non event that gully... On my 950 well.....I dunno if I'd have made it

Just thought I'd put it out there that you played that down just a smidgen ;)

thanks for the report, photos and videos
there is some of the hectic stuff that I had forgotten about, you need a second take to realise just what you had hauled your bike over and through. Interesting thing is that we all had issues at different places.
This made me realise that we could all ride anybit of such a Rally any day, but when you string it all together, fatigue and loss of concentration will catch you when you least expect it. Or when you are checking the roadbook and when you look up that caution or corner that you had been checking out pops up a couple of meters ahead and that big bike is not going to stop in time  :ricky: and it is Hero or Zero time.
You are correct, that HP will not be trying the Amageza again.
I want to enjoy the tricky bits next time, had an awsome  time on day 4 and 5 though.
on the Amageza, any day where you only crash once is awesome :deal:

Thanks for a great RR Andrew.

Not only do you ride that monster so well, but your communication skills and attitude are admirable as well!  :thumleft:

Enjoyed this report very much, it gave a really nice sense of what it might have been like to be there.

Carent see yer peechas.

A Great RR Andrew. Thanks very much!!!  :thumleft:

Great content and you are really a superb writer. I was awesome to hear how things went with the big KTM. Just love that.
And well done too :thumleft: :thumleft: :thumleft:

Well done on that beast and still have the energy to write a great report.

Respect and thank you.

Stunning report this is Andrew, I have deliberately waited until Xmass to read this RR in one sitting.

I commend the way you include all and sundry in your epic adventure ... often I found myself smiling at how it first and foremost was an adventure and secondly a race and that, I believe, is why you did so well.

Deservedly the best RR of 2014!

Thanks for the efforts in sharing this one, both of you.
