Righto...

I was going to borrow my mate's 690 and take it down to CT on friday for the qualifier. I'm having second thoughts, and I think he is too. Could end up in tears  :-\

Next option: My 950. Unfortunately the overheating issue is still not resolved and the chances of it bombing out are high.

That leaves my 1983 XL500S. It's in good nick, and I'll pump up the shocks a bit, but...

Top spead is around 100 km/h and holds only 11 litres of fuel (I'll need to carry 10 litres wif me). It seems quite robust, and should last, except if it's sweltering hot.

I'll lose plench time compared to the 690 - whoops bottom out the bike, sand is ok, but slower, and the straight sections will be slow.

What thinks ya'll?
