Angle Grinder - HELP - SORTED - Thanks All

For some time my angle grinder, when held in a certain postion, has been intermttendly tripping the electricity. Now it trips it everytime I switch on. Checked the wiring and can't find any chaffed ones.

What is the thing by the arrow. Can that have been causing it or is it a type of gizmo that works or not ?
