Johannesburg - A motorcyclist and the passenger of a car died in a head-on collision near Deneysville in the Free State on Saturday, paramedics said.
ER24 spokesperson Tristan Wadely said the motorcycle hit an Audi at around 13:45 on the R549 near Deneysville.
"The motorcyclist (in his mid 40's) died on impact when he allegedly hit the Audi head on. He was found about 30 metres from the crash site," said Wadely.
Wadely said an elderly male, who was in the front passenger seat of the Audi, was also found dead by emergency services who arrived at the scene following the accident.
"The driver and rear passenger of the Audi sustained minor injuries and did not require transport to hospital," said Wadely.
Police from Deneysville were on the scene and will be investigating the incident, he said.
