Now as you all know, a happy wife makes a happy husband.
Heres a bit of history as to how I got to this position.
Bought my wife her Buell, XB9SX in 2005.
It was a code 3 (Damage to frame (tank)), due to cost of replacing, insurance writes them off.
Anyway, so I bought the bike with 2500km on the clock, only damage was cosmetic and the ding in the
frame. All damaged parts had already been replaced by a guy who bought it off insurance. It was an
'05 model, so basically new
Here is what it looked like at that time.
It had the race ecu, K&N filter and race pipe.
Sounds and runs great.
Fast forward 7 or 8 years and the wife says shes never liked the blue, can I change it.
I know whats good for me, so we agree on a pearl red with black frame.
Almost immediatly she says thats not a nice red....back to the spray booth (my garage)
Fortunately there is very little colour on the bikes, the airbox cover, fly screen and cheese grater
So I show her what a candy apple looks like, and shes sold.
Looks a lot better in person
So then time goes by, and I do this.

So I was barely finished when she says to me one day....your bike looks better than mine... DUH!!!!!
To put this into context, when we ride anywhere, her bike does attract a lot of attention, for various reasons
1. Its a unique bike
2. It has a unique paint job.
3, Its ridden by a unique woman.
But I know what side my bread is buttered on so I ask her what she wants done....
Can I paint her rims red as well ?
Sure, no sweat.
And Wed night after I'd put them back on......."my flyscreen looks too plain"
So off with the flyscreen and it gets some GT stripes.
And this is the final result
I now have a happy wife !!!!
