Was reading News24 and see there was a shooting on republic road.

I hope these okes rot in hell, the poor bike was probably minding his own business and wham his life and the lives of his family are changed forever.

Just after 1pm this afternoon multiple EMER-G-MED vehicles alongside other emergency services responded to reports of a shooting on the corner of Republic and Woodlands, in Hurlingham - north of Johannesburg.
Paramedics arrived on the scene to find that a vehicle had been fleeing from the police when it collided with 4 other vehicles as well as a motorbike - causing the suspect's vehicle to roll.
A shootout between the suspects and police then ensued. One suspect was shot dead, two others were critically injured while the fourth sustained moderate injuries.
The motorcyclist was in a critical condition and required immediate Advanced Life Support care. The biker was intubated and placed on a ventilator before being airlifted to Netcare Milpark Hospital for urgent specialist care. A second civilian sustained moderate injuries and was also transported to hospital for further care.
The injured suspects were all transported to state facilities under police guard.
The South African Police Services are on the scene conducting investigations.
Motorists can expect heavy delays in the area.
