I know this subject has been beaten to death with a broomstick that has been found in your grandmothers closet but I want to make an observation.
The last couple of weeks I see that plenty of riders acutally have all their kit on except for jackets. These riders are all on DS bikes. I make point of looking at all the riders that I pass taking notice who is dumb enough not to wear all the gear.
Two Observations:
1. During the week riders seem to ride in shorts or plain cloths more often then on weekends. Is weekend riding of such a nature that we know we are bound to run into other riders that we know so we prefer to keep to the "code". Or is it more of a point that changing into ATTGAT is a mission during the week.
2. Many riders also seem to be wearing the correct footwear, pants, gloves, Helmet and so on but there is no jacket. Does this then become a point where the rider actually has his jacket but it is to hot to ride with it.
Basically, is there 2 different sets of rules for the week rider versus the weekend rider? Or is it simply a case of doing as you please and deal with the consequences should there be any?
