Aurora and back - Done!!

Got back from Aurora on Tuesday. Eish, what a lekka ride!
We stayed in Aurora for 2 days with Helmut (the local legend) and explored a few roads in the area - tar and gravel.
Here are a few random pictures.

Unfortunately not this time, but we will be back!
Everything else we had was excellent. The eisbein has to be ordered a day in advance and even if I have to phone ahead I will make sure I have it. Cholesterol se ma!!

Ou Helmut raak ook nou oud. Lank terug ou Helmut gun getrek  met n geveg met twee local boere wat ons gehad het.
Slegte aand gewees en kan nie die kos onthou nie.

The roads were a bit slippery and rough so soon after the rain and we couldn't do much over about 70 in places, but I took it very easy and as slow as 20 on some roads. The worst part for me was the piece that they had just graded and we were the first vehicles to ride on it. You cant see which is hard and which is soft because it was so smooth!

Waar is die laaste foto geneem?

It was fairly warm surprisingly enough. The last pic was on the low bridge over the berg river between the Hopefield and Piketberg roads. I think that was part of the "ongeskikte pad" I was warned about.
