A 4 day trip that turned out to be a great experience and adventure.

The Bikes: 2 x 800GS's,  2 x 990R's,  1 x 1200GS and 1 x 12OOGS ADV and 6 x Guy's with lots of energy.( at that stage )

Friday, Day 1:  Bloemfontein to Winterton 530km
We left Bloemfontein at 08h00 and had rain and very slippery conditions for the first 50km

The plan was to take the Bezuidenhouts pass (south of Harritmith) but when we got there it started showering and we were left no other choice but to take the tar road to Winterton

Saterday, Day 2:  Winterton to Mighty-men conference

We left Winterton at 7 o'clock. There was a lot of mist and we saw the most incredible sunrise thru the mist.

We left the conference at 7.30 that night and rode the 104km to Nottinghan road in the dark.

Sunday, Day 3: Nottingham road to Katse dam ( via technical "Village-chief-road" )

We left Nottingham road at 7o'clock and rode the stunning winding road to Himeville. Halfway we came across this beautiful river.

Monday, Day 4:  Katse dam to Bloemfontein

It rained hard right up to Ficksburg and the temperature went down to as low as 2,5degrees.
Some guy's "rain-wear" was not up for the task.

We reached Bloemfontein at 3o'clock the afternoon after completing 1520km.
IT WAS TRULY AN UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE.

Well done to all and thanks for posting glad wheather held out for village chiefs road.

How did the tyres last?
 
The tyres had a good work out. "Village chief road" is GREAT fun and hard work.

Yip it rained HAAARD when we passed Fouriesburg on Monday. I was not on a bike tho :mwink:

a Mighty man is a guy who lets his wife knows who's the boss, apparently. :pot:

It's a weekend camp for men who needs religion in their lives.

Wonderful experience.
