got a mail today for the bike shop that was checking out my newly purchased yz426 that had suffered shocking failure.
the message read like the one I received from my bank manager or my old school reports... :'(
"i don't think this bike will be running again unless you want to spend about R20000 plus on the repairs?
i am busy with a estimated quote now, since the swing arm bolt is seized and we cant get the motor out...
after loosening all the engine mountings the cracked parts of the motor just fell off, the crank has gone, that is what broke the barrel and engine casings and non is repairable...
sorry for the bad news! "
many lessons to be learned from this one....
most involve how in the future to avoid assuming the position with or without a jar of vaseline handy !
anyway, got a snot klap and now case closed. move on.
