Technical info:
Ktm 950 se, 2007 model with 25 000 km. Neduro aux fuel tank added in place of second exhaust on left and 2 into 1 exhaust with Akropovic aftermarket end can. Hyde screen and luggage rack.

This set up gives me 23 l of fuel. Average fuel consumption of 15 km/l gives me a range of well over 300 km. Fuel cost of R 600 for 1400 km trip.

Xt 660 has aftermarket exhausts, K & N air filter mod, beefed up shocks and other bits and bobs. It consistently gave a fuel consumption of about 75% of the Ktm.

We used soft luggage and traveled light.
