Having only done a few test rides on the (Face Lift) Dakar, I can already say that the only downside I see so far is wind noise at anything over 90.
I've read a few previous threads and it seems most people agree that the standard screen is disappointing. In the following thread, Michnus mentions an aftermarket high screen sold by Cytech:

That looks like what I need! I've downloaded the Cytech/ToursForAfrica brochure and they quote the following for the 650GS/Dakar:
Africa Overland - High Screens (4mmThick) ? R 985.00
Clear or tinted available
Michnus (or anyone else
) is that the correct one to order? Does anyone know of an agent in Cape Town, or shall I just e-mail them directly?
