Bi focals for the gps ?? what do spectacle wearers do ?

finally at the age where i cannot see the gps or nearer than arms clearly enough to read, its a little blurry. cant wear the reading glasses on the bike ,anyone opted for bifocals ? is it safe enough, any tips ?
