I need some advice. I've been playing with the idea of buying a "plastic" bike. The problem is I want something that I will be able to use on tar to get to wherever the ride will be (probably no more than 150km or so from Jhb / Pta) so a 100% plastic bike will not do. I want something lighter that the KLR but not too slow, cheap and something that I won't feel sorry for when I drop it and something that falls well (doesn't break easily). I enjoyed the Puzey 250 motard so the Enduro version will probably be fine but there doesn't seem to be any second hand models around. What other options are there? A KLR 250? DR 400? XT 350?
