Bike not starting

Hi

I am looking at a BMW F650GS to purchase as my first bike. I looked at it yesterday and it is in great condition. I went to look at it again today, and the seller said he had trouble starting the bike this morning. We tried to start the bike while I was there, and all that is heard on pressing the starter button is a click. The starter motor wasn't even trying to turn.

The guy said the battery's reasonably new (albeit non-BMW) and that he also recently replaced the starter solenoid.

What do you think may be the most likely cause? Dodgy battery? Wiring? I'm doubting it's the starter which worked fine yesterday. The guy is friendly and honest and I don't think he has tried to hide anything, so I asked him to give me a call when he's resolved it.
